Current roles – Analyst
Sequence Advisers are seeking to recruit an Analyst with over 1 year’s experience for a full-time role. As an Analyst, you will develop your existing corporate finance skill set and will work as an integral part of the corporate finance team.
The principal responsibilities will be to provide support within an active Corporate Finance team with marketing, research and transaction execution. The majority of the candidates time is expected to be spent on live transactions. We operate a very flat structure and the successful candidate will be exposed to direct interaction with partners and clients.
The role requires candidates with a broad skills set – academic excellence, diligence and the ability to present and convey ideas and opinions well. The role has significant client exposure, responsibility and offers candidates the ability to accelerate their career in Investment Banking.
Key responsibilities
- Company research and analysis
- Company valuation (DCF, comps analysis, LBOs)
- M&A modelling (IRR, return multiples, accretion/dilution analysis)
- Maintaining and updating transaction databases
- Preparing marketing materials
- Research into key media and technology areas
- Managing due diligence disclosure processes
- Facilitating transaction Q&A between counterparties
- Sharing decisions and information between various advisors and the client
- National and international travel for client meetings, pitches and marketing
- General transaction support to senior bankers
Role requirements
- Corporate finance experience at a top-tier Investment Bank
- Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills
- Strong academic background and a degree equivalent to a minimum 2.1 score
- Highly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and balance work flows
- Fluency in English is essential
- Excellent communication skills – able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing
- Sound judgement, adaptability and the ability to influence others
- Understanding of complex transaction structures, with a good grasp of documentation, accounting and financial modelling
- A driven, competitive individual with the ambition and the desire to progress their career in corporate finance
