GDPR Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This page explains Sequence Advisers LLP’s approach to data protection and how to exercise your rights. It applies to personal data handled in connection with our corporate finance services, professional relationships, recruitment, marketing and website, including activities under our Henrietta Street Capital trading name.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, where it comes from, our purposes and lawful bases, recipients, international transfers, retention, Mailchimp and website technologies.

1. Our data protection responsibilities

Sequence Advisers LLP is normally the controller of the personal data we use, meaning that we decide its purposes and means of processing. Our arrangements are based on the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and applicable privacy and electronic communications rules, as amended. Other laws may also apply to particular activities or individuals.

Our data protection arrangements are based on these principles:

  • Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: identify a lawful basis and explain our use of personal data clearly.
  • Purpose limitation: collect information for specified purposes and assess any further use.
  • Data minimisation: limit information to what is relevant and necessary.
  • Accuracy: take reasonable steps to keep information accurate and correct errors.
  • Storage limitation: retain information for an appropriate period and securely delete or anonymise it when no longer needed.
  • Security: use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
  • Accountability: maintain appropriate records and take responsibility for our data protection decisions.

We assess legitimate interests where we rely on that basis. A corporate engagement contract does not automatically provide a contract lawful basis for employees’ personal data. Sensitive and criminal offence information require additional legal conditions and safeguards.

2. Your data protection rights

Your rights depend on the activity, lawful basis and circumstances. They may include:

  • The right to be informed: receive clear information about how we use your personal data.
  • Access: obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal data, a copy of it and associated information.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate information or complete information that is incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete information where the legal conditions are met. This right does not automatically override legal retention duties or legitimate requirements concerning legal claims.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit use of information in qualifying circumstances, for example while an accuracy dispute is considered.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. We will assess whether the law permits us to continue.
  • Direct marketing objection: object at any time, free of charge, to use of your personal data for direct marketing, including related profiling. We will stop that use.
  • Portability: receive certain information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and have it transmitted where applicable and technically feasible. This right generally concerns automated processing based on consent or a contract.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Automated decision safeguards: receive the information and safeguards required by law where significant decisions are made solely through automated processing. We do not currently make decisions about individuals solely by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Some rights are subject to conditions or exemptions, including legal obligations, legal professional privilege, investigations and the rights of other people. If we cannot fulfil a request in full, we explain the reason where the law permits and tell you about the available complaint routes.

3. How to make a request

Contact the partner responsible for data protection:

Email: contact@sequenceadvisers.co.uk

Post: Sequence Advisers LLP, Floor 3, Orion House, 5 Upper St Martin’s Lane, London WC2H 9EA.

You do not need to use a special form, quote legislation or identify the precise legal name of a right. Explain what you would like us to do and provide enough information to identify the relevant records. An authorised representative may act for you.

We may request proportionate information where necessary to verify identity or authority. We seek clarification where reasonably necessary and do not require you to narrow a request merely for our convenience.

Requests are normally free. We may charge a reasonable fee or refuse a request only in circumstances permitted by law, such as a manifestly unfounded or excessive request.

We respond without undue delay and normally within one month. Where a legally permitted extension of up to two further months is necessary, we explain the reason within the original period. Identity verification and necessary clarification affect deadlines only as permitted by law.

4. Marketing and cookie choices

You can unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email or contact us directly. A request to receive deal announcements does not automatically authorise optional email engagement tracking. You can contact us about the use of tracking or withdraw any relevant consent.

We retain limited suppression information to honour objections and avoid adding people again inappropriately. Necessary administrative, regulatory or transaction correspondence may continue for a separate lawful purpose, but must not circumvent a marketing opt-out.

Use the website’s Cookiebot settings widget to review your recorded cookie choices, change them or withdraw consent. The Privacy Policy explains the website technologies and available cookie information. Consent to optional marketing or tracking is not required to make an enquiry or receive our advisory services.

5. Complaints

You can raise a data protection complaint by email or post using the contact details above. Explain your concern and how we can contact you. No prescribed form is required.

We acknowledge receipt within 30 days, take appropriate steps to investigate without undue delay, keep you informed and communicate the outcome without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to complete our complaints process before contacting the ICO, and contacting us does not remove any other legal remedy.

6. Keeping this policy current

We review this policy when our activities or legal requirements change. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides the detailed information about our processing activities.
